Why are your data products often offered as CSV, Excel, and SQL files?
The Excel file is best used for viewing the data in Excel. This is because the Excel file format handles unicode characters that exist in some cities (e.g. Mayagüez) properly. If you open the CSV file in Excel these characters will not display properly.
The CSV file is best used as way to load the data into a database. Almost all databases support CSV import. You can also view the CSV file in a text editor to make bulk edits to the data.
The .SQL file is best used to create a table in a MySQL (or compatible) database and load all of the data into that table.
